This test includes six crucial cardiac tests that provide valuable information about your heart’s health.

APO B / APO A1 RATIO (APO B/A1)

The APO B / APO A1 RATIO (APO B/A1) is a significant indicator of an individual’s risk of developing heart diseases. APO B is a protein that is present in LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol particles, which are responsible for transporting cholesterol from the liver to other parts of the body. On the other hand, APO A1 is a protein that is present in HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol particles, which are responsible for transporting cholesterol from other parts of the body to the liver for excretion. The APO B/A1 ratio helps in identifying the risk of developing heart diseases by assessing the ratio of APO B and APO A1.

APOLIPOPROTEIN – A1 (APO-A1)

APOLIPOPROTEIN – A1 (APO-A1) is a protein that is present in HDL cholesterol particles. A high level of APO-A1 indicates a lower risk of developing heart diseases as it helps in transporting cholesterol from other parts of the body to the liver for excretion. The APO-A1 test helps in identifying the levels of APO-A1 in an individual’s body, which helps in assessing their risk of developing heart diseases.

APOLIPOPROTEIN – B (APO-B)

APOLIPOPROTEIN – B (APO-B) is a protein that is present in LDL cholesterol particles. A high level of APO-B indicates a higher risk of developing heart diseases as it helps in transporting cholesterol from the liver to other parts of the body. The APO-B test helps in identifying the levels of APO-B in an individual’s body, which helps in assessing their risk of developing heart diseases.

HOMOCYSTEINE

Homocysteine is an amino acid that is present in the blood. A high level of homocysteine indicates a higher risk of developing heart diseases. Homocysteine damages the blood vessel walls, which can lead to the formation of blood clots, and increase the risk of heart diseases. The Homocysteine test helps in identifying the levels of homocysteine in an individual’s body, which helps in assessing their risk of developing heart diseases.

HIGH SENSITIVITY C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (HS-CRP)

HIGH SENSITIVITY C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (HS-CRP) is a protein that is produced by the liver in response to inflammation in the body. A high level of HS-CRP indicates a higher risk of developing heart diseases. Inflammation in the blood vessels can lead to the formation of blood clots and increase the risk of heart diseases. The HS-CRP test helps in identifying the levels of HS-CRP in an individual’s body, which helps in assessing their risk of developing heart diseases.

Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)]

Lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] is a type of LDL cholesterol that is associated with an increased risk of developing heart diseases. Lp(a) can damage the blood vessel walls, which can lead to the formation of blood clots and increase the risk of heart diseases. The Lp(a) test helps in identifying the levels of Lp(a) in an individual’s body, which helps in assessing their risk of developing heart diseases.
